Children
of all ages enjoy field trips to Hurst Ranch, where retired teachers, trained docents
and a Hurst Family member help them experience life on a ranch in the early 20th century.
Each child will have a turn to make butter, squeeze orange juice, and make a craft. Students will experience the field, see a hay wagon, the barn, tools used on the farm, and 4th graders discover gold panning, brands and logo design and Native American history.
The Hurst Ranch is non-profit therfore a $5 charge per student is necessary to cover expenses.
Our priority is a hands-on experience for students. To do this we would like to limit the number of students at the field trip to approximately 60 (+-) students.

After
a trip to Hurst Ranch, every child has learned a little bit
more about farm life in the early 1900s, and a whole lot more
about teamwork and responsibility.
